Where to stay: Melk has several hotels and guesthouses within walking distance of the station and town center. For a 1-day trip, no overnight stay is required, but staying overnight allows for a more relaxed pace.
Getting around: Arrive by train from Vienna (approx. 1 hour via ÖBB Cityjet from Westbahnhof). The town center and Abbey are within walking distance of the Melk Bahnhof. No car needed for this itinerary.
