Wachau

The Danube Cycle Path is accessible from various points along the river, making it easy to start a cycling tour. Local buses connect smaller villages and attractions.

The best time to visit the Wachau is from May to October for mild weather and outdoor activities, with May and September offering ideal conditions for sightseeing and wine tasting. July and August are peak months, with high temperatures and long days, perfect for river cruises and outdoor dining. Spring brings apricot blossoms, while autumn offers harvest festivals and colorful vineyards.
