Ahornbahn
Austria’s largest pendulum cable car
The Ahornbahn in Mayrhofen is Austria’s largest pendulum cable car, providing access to the AhornPlateau. The lift operates daily from 8:30 to 16:30, with admission fees set at €34.00 for adults and €17.00 for children. Early morning access for skiing begins at 07:30. The cable car connects the town to a high-altitude area featuring a variety of winter sports facilities.
On the plateau, visitors can access easy blue and red pistes, as well as a challenging 5.5-kilometer black piste known as TalAbfahrt Ahorn, which offers an elevation drop of over 1,300 meters. The area is equipped with several attractions, including the AdlerBühne Ahorn, GreifenBrücke, and SkyRide Ahorn. For relaxation, the WhiteLounge SchneeBar and Café-Bistro FreiRaum provide spaces to rest.
Families are catered to with the FunRide Ahorn, a family park with gentle slopes for learning, and the AlbertAdler SpieleWelt, an indoor adventure area by Ravensburger. The mascot, AlbertAdler, offers tours and photo opportunities. The Ahornbahn serves as a key transport link, facilitating access to these diverse recreational options. The facility combines efficient transport with a range of activities suitable for different skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers. The combination of natural alpine scenery and structured recreational facilities makes the AhornPlateau a significant destination within the Mayrhofen ski area.
