Minimundus

Minimundus, located in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, offers a miniature world where visitors can explore the globe within a single day. The park features over 160 architectural models from nearly 50 countries. These highly detailed replicas are built at a consistent 1:25 scale using original materials such as sandstone, lava basalt, and marble, which are crafted in on-site model building workshops.

The attraction serves as a hybrid of a miniature park, architectural display, and educational site. Visitors can engage in model building workshops and participate in guided tours for children, particularly during the summer months. The park also includes a playground, an adventure trail, and a Ferris wheel, making it a substantial family attraction. A large indoor interactive experience, added during a 2015–2016 redevelopment, complements the outdoor exhibits housed in a landscaped area.

The park operates daily with varying hours depending on the season. During July and August, it is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with extended hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In the spring and autumn, opening hours are typically from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, while winter months may see reduced schedules or closures. The facility is fully barrier-free, featuring lifts and ramps, and offers free parking directly around the entrance. Dogs are welcome on leashes, and the ticket office closes one hour before the park’s closing time. This charitable enterprise provides a comprehensive look at global landmarks, allowing travelers to appreciate international architecture and craftsmanship in a compact, accessible setting.
