Eggenberg Palace in Graz is a significant Baroque ensemble and part of the Universalmuseum Joanneum. The palace features a circle of 24 state rooms containing original 17th and 18th-century designs, furniture, and decorations. The Planetary Room serves as the core of the interior, reflecting the cosmological understanding of the era. The palace houses the Alte Galerie, which displays masterpieces of fine art from the High Middle Ages to the late 18th century. Notable artists in the collection include Lucas Cranach the Elder, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Giovanni Pietro de Pomis, and Johann Georg Platzer.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and on public holidays, with guided tours starting at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. The facility is also open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 for general access. The surrounding park and gardens are open year-round, with hours varying by season: from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in winter (January 1–March 14 and November 3–December 31) and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm in summer (March 15–November 2). The grounds feature the Planetengarten, a rose garden, and free-running peacocks visible from spring to autumn.

Admission to the palace interior requires a ticket, while entry to the gardens is free, particularly for holders of the Graz Card or Graz Card Light. Located at Eggenberger Allee 90, the site offers a comprehensive look at aristocratic life and artistic heritage. Visitors can explore the historic interiors and extensive gardens, providing a balanced experience of architecture and landscape design.
