Opening hours vary by season. From May 31 to August 31, the castle is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In May, it operates daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. From April 1 to April 30 and September 1 to September 30, it is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Mondays closed. Between October 1 and November 2, the castle is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The site is closed until April 1, 2026. Last admission is typically 1.5 hours before closing time.
Admission fees for 2026 are €18 for adults and seniors, with group rates of €15 for parties of 20 or more. Children aged 6–15 pay €11, while those under 6 enter for free. A family card costs €47. The lift costs €12 uphill and €7 downhill. Holders of the Kärnten Card receive free admission, though the lift ticket is excluded. Entrance fees include parking and museum access. Dogs are allowed on the premises. The castle also offers local Carinthian cuisine and hosts cultural programs and concerts. Visitors should note that drone flights are prohibited.
